Any Fritz fans here? Just got some Rev 7s...

Just got 'em hooked up and they need some break-in but sound pretty darn good. Never had a monitor before and was really worried about the bass, but so far my worries have been unfounded. We'll see as they break-in.

So far I can tell the mid-range and upper bass is magnificent! Still too early to make any definitive judgement but happy so far.

Are your cabinets bamboo? I've seen some of the wildest veneers on Fritz speakers. (Google image search) Experiment with placement.
Don't obsess over the bass output. Obsess over what small monitors do best.

Good advice. Doing my best not to concentrate on the bass output. After having big floor standers that went down to 30 I admit it was tough at first. The Rev 7s do have pretty darn good slam though! They image like crazy too - never heard that before. And yes, they are bamboo. More to come...

UPDATE 1/30/2016: After about 30 hours the bass has REALLY come in. I do NOT need a sub. The depth these monitors sink to is really quite remarkable. The bass is tight and tuneful. Highly recommended and now a convert from floorstanders to monitors...at least with these monitors.

UPDATE 3/12/2016: These speakers are just plain incredible. Best speakers I have ever owned...better than the Vienna Baby Beethoven's I had before - bass is tighter (but not deeper) and the midrange and top end is cleaner and more extended. Believe what you have read: A subwoofer is NOT necessary with these monitors!
