Any good books on LP's Covers and Stereo Equipment from the 70s, 80s and 90s?

Hi, I now getting back into vinyl and I REALLY miss the days when you would go into a “Record Store” and looking at the cover art was part of the enjoyment, which wasn’t really possible with Cds. With that being said, I’m looking for some books covering Albums Covers from the 60s, 70s and 80s… I’m 46 y/o and I’m mainly into rock/pop and R&B music from the 70s and 80s.

Any suggestions on the best books covering this subject... In color??

Also, I don’t know if any books covering consumer grade audio and video equipment were ever published, but if so, please pass on the title so I can see if they are still available. I'm hoping that there is something out there that covers equipment from the 70s, 80s and even up to the 90s.

I’m currently redoing my listening room and these books, with my collection of Stereo Review/Sound & Vision and Home Theater will be displayed so that I can flip through them as I take a mini vacation to my past!!

Also, while I’m on this subject, has anybody had their Stereo Review or other magazine collections bound into a “hard cover” books?? If so, what is the rough going price of this service?? After looking at my magazine collection, which goes back to 1980, having them bound into yearly volumes makes sense for display purpose.

"Classic Album Covers of the 60s" by Storm Thorgerson is still in print.
Also, check out the "Album Cover Album" books by Roger Dean.
There are 5 or 6 in that series.
A compilation of sorts is "Ultimate Album Cover Album" by Dean/Howells.
 
Barnes&Noble published a series of mini-books titled "100 Best Selling Albums of the 50s" and also 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. Color photos of the covers and info about most lps. The price was $6.95 per book. I have many other album cover books but they might be out of print now. Do some googling and I think you might sate your appetite. Good luck!!
 
There are excellent books and book-sized reference magazines in Japanese. Lots of detail on lots of vintage gear. You could fill large bookshelves with them.

Unfortunately, they are all in Japanese; I've never seen an English translation. The closest was a magazine that had a few of its articles translated into English.

In some of them, though, you can still glean a lot of information by looking at the pictures and the specs, as specs are often self-explanatory.
 
Thanks for the info... I'll be ordering several books from Amazon.com, as well as searching my local Barnes & Noble too... Anchorage (Alaska) is a small city and our only B&N is somewhat limited on subjects they stock.

As for book-sized audio reference magazines from Japan, where could I find a source for them?? When I lived and worked in the NYC area back in the 90s, I remember browsing through a bookstore back in North Jersey, which was part of a Japanese type mall and seeing several audio/video from time to time on display. Also, before Tower Records/Books went under, they, in Seattle, would have a couple Japanese audio magazines on displayed with the other foreign magazines, but that been almost 10 years ago.

I often visit home (Seattle) and there is a Japanese store downtown, which has a bookstore, but I haven’t seen any audio/video magazine on display there yet, mainly family, car and golf magazines… On a side note and just a little odd to me, but they had 2 or 3 different magazines on wrist watches and I always notice these magazines when I’m browsing through their display.
