I don't live in the metro, but get to Minneapolis or St. Paul from time to time and wouldn't mind browsing a Goodwill or Salvation Army or two if there is a fair selection of vinyl. I have no idea what's out there, but if anyone does please pass along your recommendation. :thmbsp:

I live about 40 miles north of the cities and I would like to know also not for competition haha. These so called record stores like chepo and half price books want way to much money it is ridiculous. I hit up the SA and GW every so often in my area but not a whole lot of selection except for a lots of old classical and christmas music classical is fine but christmas music no thanks.

If you're from the Eau Claire area, don't bother going to GW or any thrift store in search of vinyl. There's a guy that goes around every day and buys anything halfway decent. I ran into him at savers one day and he had a whole back seat full of good vinyl that he had just bought.
There is a good record store downtown called revival records, he's got pretty decent prices. He accepts trades too!

Check out Down In The Valley out on 55 in Golden Valley...I've gotten plenty of nice discs for a buck there. I try to stop at Shuga in NE Mpls...most of their selection is at standard prices...but there's buck (and less) bargains to be found. Mr.Zeros @ Lexington & Larpenteur in St. Paul has TONS...but a lot of it at crazy prices given the condition/commonality/etc. But...there's buck bargains to be had as well. The best deal is right next door...go for the brisket sammich at Maverick's. Yum!
