Hi all. Anyone know of any vacuum tube related (surplus, vintage, etc.) stores in SLC area? I'm out visiting family for the week and wanted to look if there were. Thanks much!

Not that I'm aware of, unfortunately. :(

but if there are, I'd like to know about them too!

Hey Kward. Are you here in SLC? I'm open to private parties as well, of course. Specifically looking for DHT's (2a3, 45 specifically) and interstage/input iron for a Karna type amp I'm building. Thanks for the reply,

Loren

Ra-Elco is worth a visit if you've never been. 2780 South Main Street, SLC. I have never purchased tubes from them, but I know they sell them. I don't think they will have the transformers you are looking for; however, I have found some interesting parts there over the years. If you need that one resistor to finish a project, they have it. Reasonable prices as well. No affiliation, just a satisfied customer. They keep pretty normal business hours but they shut down from noon-1pm for lunch.

Thank you. I went there today. They had a nice set of 45's, Raytheon if I remember correctly, anyhow they were nice but alas the hikock was on the mend and they didn't want to sell them for half price condition unknown because, well, we all know how "cool" DHT's are these days :-) In any case, they had a lot of stuff. Bought some heat shrink in 10 different sizes and colors, and may go back while I'm still here for some switching supplies they had real cheap, as well as some power transformers that were cheap for HV and welding projects. I had thought maybe another member would have that "collection of stuff in the garage" but none so far....Thanks again,

Loren
