Any KT120 SET owners in the crowd?

Forgot to mention, what is you all's opinion of triode-strapping the KT120 vs running it as a single ended ultralinear. Let's assume for now the power is not the critical factor, but the sound quality is.

Maybe nobody is doing this yet. . I'be been thinking about it. I've got a SE UL KT88 circuit running based on Keggers SEUL KT88, etc thread and I've got enough headroom in my power supply to plug in KT120s and up the B+ but don't want to try it not without some circuit assistance. (I can put things together but design and mods to circuits are another thing). I had seen the 4tubes.com PDF earlier and that's pretty close to to the B+ I can get out of my current power supply. I've got my PS throttled back with dripping resistors to run the KT88s.

I had my first exposure to one in the form of a prototype being built by analog addict and Dennis Had over here in RTP, but it was not ready for listening. Saw a few such amps had been done in diyaudio.com and here and there in Europe also. Looking for listening impressions and if it is worth the price of admission sound wise. I have read interesting, positive descriptions of KT88 SET's and was wondering if it is just more of the same sweet sound or something different.

Another factor is how SS power supply sections affect the sound. Dennis is of the opinion that the tube rectifiers "soften" the sound by sagging a little due to internal resistance, therefore rounding the edges of the wave at clipping. Not having a point of comparison, it would be interesting to hear from those that have.
