Any McIntosh MSD4 Owners here…..feedback needed

I owned a Krell HTS paired with my McIntosh 7200 and am in the market for a new 5.1 pre/pro as I don’t have the Krell any longer.

Wanted to get feedback on the MSD4 as it’s one of the pre/pro on my list along with Classe SSP-25, Theta Cassanova, Anthem AVM 2 and Meridian 561.

Any MSD4 owners or folks familiar with this unit please chime in………I am looking for a musical pre/pro in addition to HT quality.

msd4 remarks

:thmbsp: i have one, bought it off ebay, had it sent back to MC for check-up and repair( i got it cheap enough to warrant factory repair), i recommend it highly, the dts alone is outstanding, very easy to set up and fully adjustable. it comes with it's own remote, but i just use the one for my MX130. feel free to e-mail me with any questions.

MX-132s are continuing to drop in price as the transition from 5.1 to 7/1 continues. I've seen them now for about $2000 - to me, that makes more sense than buying a MSD4 and an MX-130. It probably works out to the cheaper option, too.
