Any opinion on soundcraftsmen drivers??

Here is a cut and paste from a local ad. ANyone know anything about these. I am considering them as I am looking for a set of speakers for my tube amp.


"For sale are two Soundcraftsmen 2640TX three-way co-axial speaker drivers with horn tweeter in the center of woofer cone. Full range 26Hz-22KHz frequency response, high efficiency, great for single driver speaker project such as open baffle and low wattage tube amps. It is widely believed that these are re-badged legendary Electro-Voice (EV) 12TRX/12TRXB and comparable to similar Altec drivers."

Never heard the Soundcraftsmen drivers but I did used to own a pair of Electro-Voice 12TRXB drivers and thought they sounded pretty nice...

How much does the guy want for them? If reasonable, I think those could be stellar.

Soundcraftsmen sold OEM EV Wolverine LT-12 coaxes and also (IIRC) some OEM University coaxes. Cannot go wrong if the price is right, either way.
