Passing through the local GW today found a very nice pair of Infinity RS-8B. Cabinets in excellent condition; no stains, splits or serious scrapes/scratches, grilles in nice shape too. BUT, there's always a but; the foams on the mids(4") and woofers(6.5") are shot. Already e-mailed Rick for replacements. Couldn't say no for $5.
It's not like I need another pair of speakers, but this is an addiction/affliction of sorts.
Was thinking of using them in the office. Currently I switch between KEF C-55's and Design Acoustics PS-10's. The C-55's shine in the midrange and highs but seem to be a little soft in the lower midrange and bass regions. The PS-10 are solid on the bottom and midrange and maybe a little flat up top. The PS_10's seem to image a little better even though the C-55's are a "point source" design. Any idea how the Infinity's would compare.
