Hi everyone , 1st time posting in the mac sec. I have a chance to buy a mc 2105 power amp for $600.oo , premap c-26 for $350.00 but mostly plan on using the mac, 2105 with my quad 22, cause don't have the cash to buy the preamp c-26 at this time. Any opinions on how it might sound , with infinty rsb speakers and the quad 22 ?? Any help would be really welcome cause I gotta decide very soon ,like right now !! Thanks for your time .

The MC-2105 is a great Amp, puts out 105 watts per channel, but actual bench testing shows they more typically put out 130-145 wpc.
A good classic Amp, which is detailed, clean, yet very smooth. If your speakers aren't power hungry it will work fine, and more than likely will outlive you. mark
The input sensitivity of the 2105 is .5v. So, that's the required signal from the pre amp to drive the amp to max output. The specs that I found for the Quad 22 show that it has 1.4v output so you should be good to go. Assuming that the pre amp is in good working condition.

My first preamp was a 22 and really liked it. Used it with a set of Quad IIs. A bit veiled and not the quietest preamp. Make sure it has the phono modules and tape modules you want. It is not too far off from an early Mc tube preamp, the C8 in sound. Did not use it with a 2105 but have been using the 2105 for about 6 years now as my main amp and it has enough juice for any speaker. From my separate experiences, they should do well together and the 2105 can benefit when you have the change to move up the preamp scale though you may just find you love the combo as is.
