I'm considering buying a pair of mini mites that are available locally - amps were built in 2008 and stock tubes have been upgraded, supposedly have low hours on them (jan/phillips 6l6's output and telefunken 12ax7s input). I just got new speakers, very efficient Triton Twos replacing my good ole Infinity RSiiia's, and now that I don't need the power I'm thinking tubes might take my whole listening experience to hyper nirvana territory (after an adjustment period, I am really loving the Tritons). Never owned any tube gear - always been an SS guy out of convenience. Currently using a Musical Fidelity a3cr pre and power pair and I've been very happy with them. But that tube itch is really itching right now - most of the reviews on the Tritons say that they reach a different level when paired with tubes. So just wanted to get input from any mini mite owners out there - thanks
