Any Scott speakers fans?

Today's booty (that's code, for me thriftin' you see...) is a pair of Scott S-15's. Bought them on site no questions (the right price).
Hooked 'em up and was surprised with their performance. They sound fantastic solo through a Technics SA-300 and I demoed them paired with my Genesis 10's followed by a pair of KLH model 6's.
I haven't even pulled the grills off yet, and I'm seriously doubting that any updating has been done.
Wood veneer is almost flawless, and the treble selector toggle on the back provided 3 distinct variations (high was the best with the KLH's, yup.)
Is their any AKer's that dig these? Had much experience with them? I've read a few bits here, mostly positive reviews, but they were all a bit old.
So far, I've taken the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" road. But I'm sure curiosity will win in the end. Scott-S-15_1.jpg Scott-S-15_3.jpg Scott-S-15_2.jpg

They use cts drivers. Sound pretty good but don't have that Klh/ar/advent magic. My dad repped the Scott line in the early 70's. Had a similar set in our summer vacation home.

Agreed. And I didn't mean to sound like I was grouping them into the same category as the others, just that I wanted to hear how they paired with anything, really.
They're pretty cool looking, and in great shape. And they don't sound bad at all.
I dig 'em. And I'll probably hold on to them for a while.:D

I've had mine for about 20 years. Always loved them. I picked mine up stupid cheap, so I never really thought about them being anything but cheap speakers. They are neutral, round, and let you listen as long as you want without fatigue.
Getting ready for a re-cap. I'm this side of skeptical, but if it brings out their high end, I will be ever so pleased.
