Any Tea drinkers?

I hope I'm not the only that drinks tea on this forum.:D

If you drink tea what is your favorite kind/brand, loose or tea bag, and finally do you add milk and sugar?

My favorite tea at the moment is a black loose leaf tea called bourbon vanilla, I steep my tea for 2 mins and add one teaspoon of sugar, NO MILK!!! lol

Anyways what's your tea routine if you drink tea?

This could kill your thread [:D], but: Tetley's ['one-cup' bags] black tea, with a nice dollop of 'Rice-Dream' [it looks like Skimmed Milk, anyway], no sugar! 4 or 5 cups a day.

Cheers, og

PS: Plus a couple of cups of coffee; and, as/when remembered, a few glasses of water.

Usually Taylors 'hard water' Yorkshire Tea bags. with a dash of semi-skimmed milk, and most often no sugar, or ½ a teaspoon. ;)

PG Tips (English) with h/h and sugar. Got spoiled in Afghanistan with one of the locals providing garbage bags of green tea for our group. The sugar over there is like rock candy, of course we were forced to Amazon a french press (poor us..lol).

Definitely leaf tea over teabags.

The worst sin is to put the teabag in the cup. It must be made in a tea-pot and served in a cup. Mug or beaker is just the pits.

Of the various teas, Darjeeling is my favourite. Usually with cold milk & no sugar, but lately in the cold weather, warmed milk is nice for not cooling down the tea too much.
Asam is good too.

Rooibos is popular here and overseas too, but I can't stand it.

steak and eggs tonight...

It took me a moment to remember that in some places, "tea" refers to an entire evening meal!

Loose., haven't done bags in a decade. I love a good cup of oolong but Im a pretty eclectic tea drinker.

Hmmm! I've never tried that.

I like tea but always found it too weak for me. I always use 2 tea bags per cup and steep until the grounds come out.

Yes, coffee in the morning, and tea in the afternoon...and even the evening, on occasion. I like all sorts of tea, mostly hearty.

I experimented with brewing temperature and time last night and it turns out the best cup of black tea IMO is when you get your water a little under a rolling boil (192°F) and add a bit more leaf than normal.

Then brew for a shorter time (2-3 mins instead of 3-5 mins) it tastes twice as good and the second time you use the leaf it loses some bitterness and tastes smoother. This method also makes it almost as rich as coffee.

I also don't like adding milk or cream to tea or coffee, it just seems to ruin the flavour for some reason.

Sorry for being a tea geek or whatever..

Have you tried using loose leaf or a stronger tea brand?

I always found Lipton tea weak and watery (like hospital coffee) unless you add a ton of tea, which then it tastes bitter.

The weekday routine at work is a large mug and the black tea provided (Lipton) and sugar no creamer. The weekend treat is Barry's Irish Breakfast tea made with near boiling water and steeped 30 minutes or so (!), two spoonfuls of local honey and quite a lot of half and half cream.

I sure wish tea drinking were more popular here in the USA in restaurants and shops. On my first visit to the UK a couple of years ago I finally felt like I was less than a freak!! I wouldn't mind living there.

P.S. No coffee for me.

Haven't had fresh brewed in long time, but I do enjoy Snapple's Peach & Nestea's Raspberry teas.

Snapple made a Mint tea once that was truly refreshing, wish they would bring that one back!

Yup.

We usually brew loose leaf teas, using an old British-made Chatsford teapot, but...
FWIW, for my money, the world's finest pre-bagged black tea is Williamson's "Lifeboat" tea. This is a fine tasting black tea by any reasonable standard, I'd opine (and, yes, I am a tea snob, too).

As best I can tell, Mark T. Wendell is the US source (perhaps they import it) -- at the moment, they have "scratch and dent" packages of Lifeboat for about half price; a superb value IMO (just stocked up on some, in fact -- for those times when one's lazy or doesn't want to brew a full pot)! No affiliation other than as a satisfied customer.

Most time, I use loose leaf tea, although I sometime use the tea in sachets.

Some of my favourites types, Monk's Blend, Formosa Oolong type, Chai Wallah, Ceylong Blak Tea (Camelia Sinensis)
With or without milk.

I am tea drinking noob but I like a couple of cups in the evening when I am watching netflix. I drink Red Rose tea, no milk but two sugars (I have a sweet tooth). The tea bag is steeped for about 5 minutes, makes two cups.
