Any Thoughts on Fixing These?

I just got a set of Realistic Custom Pro headphones for free at an estate sale. They indicate they were made by Koss. They work if I hold the cord in a certain position. I assume this means there is a short.

Are these worth fixing and how do I do it?

Your expertise is welcome.

I believe the short is inside the headphone before the line splits and head to the other headphone. I guess I have nothing to lose. Thanks for the advice.

I have two of these, one with volume slides and one without. Both sound good. I would try to fix them. Koss used to fix them on their lifetime guarantee, but I'm no sure if they still do. They did charge for shipping though. Check their website.

I'm going to have to check that out. I'm not sure if I can open them myself without breaking something. I don't see any way in.
