Any thoughts on TDL speakers? Transmission lines in general

I'm hoping these are on the good side, even though they're technically reflex-transmission lines. People seem to like the RTL series so fingers crossed the T-Lines are also good.

Worst case, I just use them as expensive speaker stands.
knottscott is on the ball. I've heard good transmission lines and bad transmission lines, just as I've heard both good and bad vented boxes and both good and bad sealed boxes. Execution is more imporatnt than type.

So far I really like them! They're smaller than I thought they'd be, so I'll need some stands (hopefully cheap) to bring the tweeters up to ear height. I'm still playing around with placement.

Jazz sounds wonderful. Bass is deep enough to make my Speedwoofer 10E feel unneeded (which is great, bc THAT large thing doesn't have girlfriend approval).

It can be a bit boomy, so I'll need to dial it in. I think the foam is somewhat needed. I put a little packing foam in, which helped, but I'll get the aquarium foam soon.

So far, very happy with my purchase. Guy was super nice, too.

If anyone has any ideas about cheap, short speaker stands, that'd be awesome.

Are they real TL enclosure ?
No!
If it should be a transmissionline speaker, then they could call it a transmissionline-speaker.
But when that's not a reality, then they have call them Reflex Transmission Line (RTL), wich is something between a bassreflex and transmissionliner.
