Any thoughts on Teac CD Players?

Thinking of either the CD-P1260 or CD-P650 cd players. I like the 650 for the USB input so I can fill up a 16GB memory stick and play some mp3's instead of using my PC. Budget for a new player is about $160 max and I don't want a changer. Any vintage models that are worth looking at?

Maybe a used Tascam as they are probably better built as they are used in pro-audio applications.

Try looking at a budget of $180 to $200 if you want a good new cd player.

If I were looking at a new CD player, I would check out the Onkyo C-7030 and others in that price range.

As it was, I actually got an Onkyo C-S5VL which also plays SACD.

Don't know about your USB requirement.

i just recently picked up the unit in my sig line because i like to make mixes from vinyl and this unit was inexpensive, and is perfectly reliable and making great discs. it also has digital, toslink and analog connections....got it from amazon
 
I don;'t have experience with their entry-level models, but I think their their mid to upper-level ones are some of the best around in my limited experience.
 
I am hoping to get budgetary approval from wife for the CD-P650. I think it will fit my needs the best.

I purchased the CD-P650 for $150 w/free shipping from Amazon a few months ago....am very pleased... don't seem to need the remote much... my ipod plugged into the usb port is always charged and the sound through the DAC is an incredible improvement.... the Teac is an extremely prudent buy...enjoy
