Hey all,
I’m about two weeks into owning the Audiophonics MPA-S252NC Hypex Ncore amp (based on the 252MP module) and I’m wondering who else has tried out a hypex power amp?
I’m going to write up a proper review next month, but so far I’m incredibly impressed and cannot imagine any power amp providing any meaningful improvement over this thing, even at many times the price.
I’m running it with an inexpensive tube-based DAC and the combination of warmth and power is as good as anything I’ve ever heard. It also does a great job with home theater content.
