Anybody get a pic of yesterday's eclipse?

ekmanning5

Time has told me...
I had my scope and camera loaded into the car and ready to go (too many trees in the backyard to set up there), but because of the cloud cover over the Chicago area I had kind of given up trying to get a shot. But all of a sudden at around 4:30 a small band of clear sky appeared. I raced to the park near here and scrambled to get set up. Managed to at least get the scope up and find the eclipse, but didn't have enough time to snap a picture before the sun disappeared behind the clouds for the rest of the day. I saw it, but I couldn't capture it. Anybody else have any luck?

Not great

Went to take my scope out for the eclipse and realized my power tank is broken! That was a bummer. But I managed to get an odd picture of the eclipse with my cell phone.

Oddly I saw someone standing outside this morning with a viewing box watching the sun. I had heard something in the news recently about a partial eclipse and thought oh that's what they are doing. But evidently not or they were about 12 hours off schedule. :scratch2:
