Eric, yes it was, I've been to Antalya in hot places like Olympos, Side, Aspendos, etc.
In the old theater of Aspendos there was a festival of classical music and I attended one evening for the oratorio of Fazil Say 'Nazim'.
My favorite place however must be Istanbul, and it's there where I stayed the most and where I want to live one day.
There's a place called 'Galatasaray', where you can find new vinyls for sale of all genres in the mainstream music shops, this I haven't seen in Belgium, apart from specialised stores for dj's. In the main street of Galatasaray there's the (state)university of Galatasaray where students are being thaught in French. In the same street there's a Katholic church, a mosquee and what I think is an Orthodox church.
There're vintage audio shops aswell. I missed a marantz 2600 bought by a Brittish couple, but I don't know the price they bought it for. (I like to think it was expensive!)
I'd like to add that, it was a refreshing expenrience, as I stayed in Belgium for 2 years before, and I needed to see something different.
