This listing is for a Vintage Marantz Tube Stereo System. The System consists of a Pair Consecutive Serial No. Model 9 Mono-Block Amplifiers, a Model 7 Stereo Preamplifier and 10B Stereo FM Tuner. All 3 units are tube.
All of the equipment is in good working condition and was checked out by a qualified technician and has a clean bill of health. As for the sound quality all I could say is that if you are looking at this and know what Marantz tubes gear sound like then you know what the sound is like.
The amplifiers are a rare combination of consecutive serial numbers which are 2450 and 2451 and come with their original tube cages. It have the amplifiers pictured without tubes to get a better look of the cosmetic condition of the amplifiers. The buyer will have a choice of the type of tubes he would like to be sent with the amplifiers. The buyer will have a choice of Mullard, Amperex or Siemens EL34s to choose from.
The Marantz 7 is a pretty early version of the Model 7 and is serial number 11847. It performs wonderfully and has one of the most sought after phono stages of vintage tube pre-amplifiers. Cosmetically the preamp is almost mint condition as you can see from the pictures. Sorry for some poor pictures, there is piece of lint in a couple of pictures left above Stereo but it is gone in the close-ups so it is not a blemish.
The model 10B serial number is 1680. The 10B is still considered by many as one of if not the best of the vintage tube FM tuners by many a vintage collector/audiophile.
Both the Model 7 preamplifier and the Model 10B FM tuber will come with original Marantz Walnut wood cabinets as you can see in the pictures.
