I know it sounds nasty, but lots of people use the B.A.R.F. (Bones And Raw Food) method of feeding their dogs. i give mine frozen raw turkey necks...LOL. Gives them dazzling white teeth and nice fresh breath.

There's a standing want ad on Houston CL for old and freezer-burned meat from just such a dog owner. The dogs get raw meat and folks get space in the freezer. Win-win.
