This site has been auctioing off some great stuff at very good prices. I bought a Tektronix 2213A and signal generator for $30 total. THey will have more coming up soon. You just need to keep checking.

THere has also been lots of other stuff, multimeters, distortion generators, power supplies and other stuff.

here's a tip for you:
I own a 2213a. It blew a focus resistor. These are easy to work on. So when it goes flewey, check near the CRT rear.

Depends on the institution that's selling the items. Some ship, some don't, some may only ship certain items. The listings will tell you clearly if it requires the buyer to pick up the item.

Lots of schools or public agencies, you will see some interesting items occasionally. I need to fix my filter though... I never see anything useful on the mailed updates I receive, but when I go and browse there's usually something at least somewhat interesting. Like any other site, the seller's don't always list in the category you would expect them to.
