Anyone else like Twin Peaks?

I've had a really bad week. Computers (bought on my recommendation a couple years ago) are dying right and left from bad cap disease. Replacement motherboards are not available, and ones sent out for repair are not working.

So I'm consoling myself with the soundtrack from Twin Peaks. For some reason it just elevates my mood.

That and the soundtracks from Blade Runner and Chariots of Fire.

Not bad for an album from the other side of the world.

Loved the original series and the score, most if not all by Angelo Badalamenti, ranges from competent to sublime. The musical motifs (identifying themes) he created for several of the characters are too good for television, but then do was the (a) writing and (b) direction. Helluva cast too. Let's remember them together:

I love Twin Peaks. I can see them right outside my window.

(The ones in Colorado, not the originals...Longs Peak & Mt. Meeker):D

Loved it. Wished it would have been completed properly. The "Fire Walk With Me" film is very powerful, but the issues are too serious for it to be as much fun as the show.

I scored

to complete series on laser Disc Japanese edition. Did not know when I scooped it up that is sought after in japan, something to do with the original tint used when filmed. I really should finish watching that set. I then found a Japanese of The Movie Laser Disc which was cut differently and I watched that. I love David Lynch's early stuff,so visual in color. I remember seeing a special on Lynch where he said it's not by chance all the color in his films,he had to have it just right which drove the studio's crazy. I remember him joking that the studio told him your next movie better be in B&W. LOL :sigh: Oh yeah in the boxed set was the recipe for the pie they used to serve at the diner.

Great Rolling Stone cover from back when the show was popular.

There's a USA "Twin Peaks" promo cd w/artwork of a sugar donut sitting on some pine needles. Cool piece and TV show! :screwy:

Great show!

I try to watch the series at least once a year...I have bothe season sets on DVD and the complete series "gold" box. The single season sets have some extras not in the gold box, so I have to keep them.
