Anyone else use this as speaker cable

Yeah, that's what it is intended for; component video.

Makes great speaker cable that's for sure.
It cost me nothing more than the time to strip the wires.

Anyone got opinions of a for :yes:and against :no:in using this and has anyone else tried it or am I a pioneer in the field:D

I'm neutral on it, but there have been many, many, many takes on speaker wire over the years so it's tough to hoe an entirely new row.

Hoe a new row:scratch2:

So I might be a pioneer in the field:D

I understand how the mind and perceptions can play tricks when you can't take an AB test of what your hearing but the sweet spot I've got at the moment is so defined.

The only change I've made is the cable so I think I'll stick with this combination for a while then connect my "old" cable up to see if I notice the change.

The system(s) I'm using are a Thorens TD318 turntable- Garrott P66 MCoil through a Mitsubishi M PO4 pre amp.
JVC QL50 turntable-Shure M55E Sme3009-Yaqin MS 22B pre amp
Both through the Yaqin MC10T valve amp
Rogers Ls8a speakers

This
Monster cable 16 gauge.
I was just looking at it and it says the signal or arrows should be going the other way on one of them at least
Can this make a difference:scratch2:

Should work fine. Same as lamp cord or a good sized AC power cord stripped and connected. Wire is wire. Don't see the need for heat shrink either, unless you are worried about touching the two plugs together.

I did a blind test with 6 audiophiles and used 3 core power cable and the top of the range kimber cable and the power cord won with 6-0 so that says it all

You joke, but take a look at Paul Speltz's "Anti Cables" speaker wire.

Cables and speaker wires company love these kind of people who thinks $500 (for example) pair of wires will sound better than a $50 pair (for example). Sure there might be some minute differences if any. It's a good thing that I don't have bionic ears to pick that up and can enjoy beautiful music on simple 16 gag wires.
