I came across a set of drivers and crossovers which someone pulled from a set of these speakers years ago, and I am wondering if it would be worth the bother to make cabinets. All the drivers test good, and even the crossover capacitors appear to test fine. One strange thing, is the crossover contains what appears to be a polarized electrolytic capacitor - something I have never seen in a speaker crossover.


The info I can find online says these are 30 litre cabinets, and gives dimensions, however, I am guessing about the thickness of the material used to make the cabinets./

Make the cabinet thicker than you think is right to cut down any wall vibrations or install braces.

If you have all the parts the speakers you make of appropriate size for the woofer volume should sound very nice.

I had a pair of 1030/8 that were better than similar ADS speakers. They would rock and roll.
