Anyone Familiar with this Rek O Kut Turntable?

Recently purchased this Rek O Kut turntable from an estate.
Underneath the platter, it says model LP12, but I'm not seeing anything when I do an internet search of that Rek O Kut model.

Think the label got the model number accurate, or can anyone out there verify otherwise?

That looks like a Rondine Jr. L-34 to me........

Must be pretty early. I have a brochure with all their equipment from 1955 and it doesn't list the lp-12 anymore.

Seems to me that LP 12 might refer to the motor/platter assembly.
The OP's plinth is factory made, not DIY.

Here's a pic of a Rondine Jr.
Possibly with the different LP 743 platter assembly, and a different arm, but with what appears to be the same plinth.

Yes, that does look like the same plinth.
I wonder if Rek O Kut had a "model number" to this plinth and/or any other plinths that they made?

Is it not most "official" to keep the black mat that is on the platter now if it's the one that it originally came with?

The platter has a 'coating' for lack of a better term. Not flock, like we see elsewhere, but a hard, granular surface. Looks like the brochure @mhardy6647 posted.

Does your LP-12 platter have a coating/surface like this?

Mine has a coating that was applied. I'd guess is was a soft material, but now it's hard. I'll post a picture of it.

LP-12, the Rondine Jr L-34/L-37 had the red and white knobs for speed control and lettering, and a larger motor,and much larger stem on the platter.

Early Rondine Jr. L-37s had the same squared-off motor as the OP's TT, the speed control plate was grey with white lettering....and as far as I can tell had black knobs.
Actually, if I'm remembering correctly, there were two different grey plate designs, but I'd have to look around the the second design.

That said, the grey plate shown below does appear to be a different design than the OP's.

I never had a ROK LP-12 but have owned (and still own) a few ROKs.

As far as I can tell the LP-12 shares a simpler idler arm arrangement as the LP743 (right) which has no decoupling from the chassis whereas the later Rondine Jr. L34/37 (left) have rubber grommets serving as rudimentary isolation.
