I am obsessive/compulsive. I will probably unload the stock 9900. I have been told that it cannot be improved beyond what i already have in my previously mod'd unit. As for the Tu-919, it is now in the hands of the APS tech's and will be back this week. I used it for about a week prior ro mod'ing it and it is everything they say about it. Sensitive, very selective tuning, sloppy tuning dialaction, a pain in the ass Quartz lock. Almost as sweet sounding as the 9900. The AM section is great! It is almost HiFi in its sound, very sensitive as well. Audiowise, Maybe the bottom is a little more realistic and faster, soundstage/depth about the same. All that said, it has a really cheap feel to it. Not at all hefty and silky like the 9900. Pushbuttons aren't smooth like the 9900, the lights are white, kind of stark. I asked the tech if he can do something about that color, who knows?
