Anyone have info on B&W D5 speakers?

Just won a pair of Bower and Wilkins (B&W) D5 speakers on Ebay for £5+p&p. Only info I could find was that they're the predecessor to the DM5 and I took a bit of a chance on them thinking that B&W have a good reputation when it comes to speakers. Anyone have these or can tell me anymore about them? Thanks.

My first "proper" hi-fi system back in 1976 comprised a Pioneer SX-450 receiver, CT-F2121 cassette deck and a pair of B&W D5 speakers. I seem to remember the speakers cost around £85 the pair, and were rated at around 25 watts.

They sounded OK to me at the time, but I wouldn't expect too much bass below about 100Hz - probably best up against a wall. £5 is a good price, just so long as postage doesn't add too much.

Let us know what you think of them - a few pictures would be good (if possible).
