Anyone in the UK fancy some KABUKI???

Thankfully, Kenwood's best work was evident in other pieces. All kenwood_lover needs to do is direct his affection toward other pieces, electronic in nature, perhaps more worthy of his attention.

Then there is no need to change the nickname.

Yeah, happy birthday luvvinvinyl :thmbsp:

I don't think any electronic Kenwood pieces will be on the horizon for me any time soon as they are pretty scarce in the UK and for once in my life I'm extremely content with the current stage of my setup, - all I need to do now is score a Pioneer RT-707 reel to reel deck and get round to hooking up my new KEF speakers (http://audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=56406&highlight=concertos) and I think I'll be keeping my system pretty much as it is for a long time to come .

My reason for turning my back on my beloved Kenwoods:
After a couple of years of not using them I decided to hook up my Wharfedale Valdus 500s again for comparison, and my ears just opened up with joy. It was like taking cotton wool out of your ears. I was hearing high frequencies I hadn't experienced since my last live concert, and it revealed to me how much the Kennies lacked on the freqs. over 15khz. The Wharfedales bass is clear and crisp, but due to being a ducted design there is a peak at 60hz and a rapid fall off from there back, and an EQ cannot effectively extend the low freqs, which is why I've bought the KEFs. Hopefully the KEFs will be even better than the Wharfedales, and then I'll be able to change my name to 'keffa_luvva' :D......
