I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on these but not sure what they are they look like ADS but can't find a model number the guy wants $35 bucks for the pair and he has a orphan Altec bolero he'll throw in the deal. I know it's a bolero he doesn't.

Doesn't look like an ADS, but looks like decent drivers, and a bonus Bolero. Survey says: get them.
 
I don't remember what they are, but another pair was just discussed here in the last week or so. I recognize the tweeter control location, the knob was missing in the other thread. They were/are something decent.

If all drivers are working, they're a no-brainer at 35 bucks. Thats a 1/4 tank in my truck.

Got home hooked them up to my sansui 4000 and they sound gooood!:D Crisps highs tight bass here are a couple more pics I still don't know what model they are hope someone knows.

That looks to be a Philips woofer, not sure about the tweeter (looks quality though)...bet they sound nice!
 
Yes I got the Bolero it's a 890c but the crossover is dead cab could use some tlc all drivers are working as they should I hooked her up to a spare xover I have just for testing I've read the horn is non repairable I took it easy the passive has a stain and a small piece of the molding is missing. I think I'm going to hang on to it for a while and see if another orphan bolero pops up if not maybe I'll part out.:) GO CUBS!!!

I'm still searching for any kind of info on the other speakers I got yesterday they do look like Philips Sandstrom thanks, but haven't found anything on line on them.:(

The dome tweeter is a Heppner, 575 EIA code.

Nice lot of goods for the entry fee.

FWIW, the horn in the C version Bolero is also made by Heppner, they are somewhat common and can be sourced pretty easily in the used market. Earlier versions have a different, Altec made tweeter horn.
