Anyone know where to find service literature for a Magnavox Concert Grand?

I ended up with a ~1960 model 1ST800F concert grand. The tuner has had extensive mouse damage in it's past life (possibly the remote chassis too, but I don't want to think about that till the tuner lives) and I know I'm going to need a manual to deal with some of it's issues. The cabinet model number and the amp chassis numbers (AP 82-01-00) are all I can find on it and the Sam's online index isn't giving me any hits (if it did I'd have pulled a paper copy from my file cabinets already).


Anyone know where I can find service literature? (Schematic, dial string diagram, etc.)

I dare say the CG has been discussed many many times here on AK, I would utilize AK's "Search" feature (upper right hand corner) and you should be able to find a plethora of threads on the CG, the amps etc as well as schematics.

In the meantime here's a thread that might be worth going through as there is some good info

OP- Third picture you posted, on the amp chassis in the right-hand side of the photo, the bottom row of tubes, the left most one looks like it has gone to air. Have a look before you power it.

Still looking for schematics for the tuner and remote chassis... don't have time to comb through hundreds of pages of old posts.

Ok, if you're going to be a jerk to someone who already wasted a bunch of time trying and failing to find any service literature online, then I guess it's time I scrap it and burn the cabinet.
Thanks for helping me make up my mind on whether I want to restore this biohazard.
I figured the audiokarma community would be as friendly and helpful with tube audio as videokarma is with TVs, but I guess I was wrong.

Hey- I have a lot of loyalty to AK, but like a chain, it can be only as good as it's weakest link. Please don't let one bad voice turn you off- there are a lot of heroes here, and definitely make it worthwhile being a member.

I wanted to point you to another group I belong to, Classic HiFi Care, a group that almost exclusively focuses on consoles. Many of these older guys can recognize your console just by the picture, tell you about all of the versions, and have pretty much all of the service literature either in the group "downloads" area or on-hand and ready to send you.
