Anyone recognize these speakers? Phillips mid/tweets? Pics, too.

It's not often I have to, or need to, ask about speakers but when they don't have any markings of brand, etc, I have to. My buddy is out roaming around and sent me these pictures with grills on and off but there are no markings anywhere. All they have for speaker terminals is the basic little screw down panel on the back with flat head screws and there are no tags. I recognize the Phillips mids and tweeters (which I like) but I'm at a loss on the model of these as a whole. Look like DIY more than anything with the mis-matched screws and the feeble attempt at a flush mount hole for the tweeter.

Any ideas?

It looks like either a DIY speaker or someone tried to replace the tweeter with one that's slightly larger than the original and didn't know what they were doin.

They are part of a series Philips made between 1974 and 1977 and they performed just brilliant.

Not sure, but this model should be the 22AH466 or something like that...

I had a pair with the same mid and tweeter but had Richard Allan woofers. I would imagine that Karl's pair were the real thing. I thought mine were diy...gave the empty cabs to a friend of a friend a month ago but I remember the cab volume was 60 litres or just over 2 c.ft.
I've got 2 pairs of the mids and lots of the tweeters and IMO they are as ugly as hell but do have a quality sound...a good argument for covering up. :yes:

The pics I put I'm offering some 20 euros to have them. Maybe tonight I have the confirmation! They are great speakers! Only to see the crossover!

The have that real vintage sound I love! :thmbsp:

I have no idea if those are the right tweeters for that model, but you can see where someone remounted them with different screws (new screws as opposed to what was used originally). The tweeter doesn't sit quite-right in the mounting hole. The mid looks like it has a few odd screws as well, but I couldn't say whether these are original drivers or not (The woofer on the ones the OP posted look a little different that the ones that Karl vd Berg posted, but I suppose it's possible that they're the same make). Nice cabs though.
