Anyone using WISA speakers for wireless audio?

I've come across a new high resolution wireless audio protocol called WISA. It seems to be mostly aimed at multi channel audio but Ive been interested it exploring it for a more minimalist 2 channel set up.

In terms of Brands that support Wisa, I've seen Klipsch has range of speakers which are all Wisa compatible. Another reputable brand is the Danish audio company Buchardt Audio which has the A500 bookshelf speakers.

Id like to know if anyone here has gone the wireless route and how they felt about it.

Wait for there to be standards. Until there are, not wise.

My understanding is that Wisa’s goal was to become a standard wireless audio protocol. It just seems like the more it’s adopted by other brands to more standardized it becomes.

Is there another competitive protocol you are aware of that aims to do the same thing?

Airplay from Apple seems similar but has a lower bit rate and aimed more at general consumer compared to Wisa.

Define professional? For me, it is broadcast and better class recording studio. Apple is dominant there, as ProTools is the dominant DAW platform. Powered monitors in many studios today is much more common (I dislike this, single point of failure. My background is broadcast. Failure is no option, revenue depends on reliable.). Wireless speakers tends to be more AV than audio presently (common for subwoofers). Makes sense there.

I have been considering a pair of active speakers for a 2d system for space reasons. To get rid of the rack by having the amp/dac/streamer disappear. Those Burchardt A500 look great in reviews. Of course the KEF LS50 wireless 2 is a good deal for the price.
Unfortunately, as usual I am buying blind with no chance to audition.
