APC Back-UPS 600 building wiring fault damaged?

So I need advice on this:
I am in an RV. I rented a hotel room to charge up all of my devices & brought my APC Back-UPS 600 in because it was on a shelf for 4 months. I plugged-in everything in fell asleep& woke up to a call I was late checking out BECUZ my alarm never went off. The hotel had an electrical problem that night and not rooms in the back had electric while I slept 9 hours! When I checked out they had 2 electricians vans there. My regular battery pack for my phone/ tablet was at 11%, so the electric charged from their one outlet for that long, everything else was dead. The security camera aimed at my RV recorded only 20mins. When I checked my devices as I packed up, the APC light "Building Wiring Fault" was on. The next chance I had to plug in my APC the siren went off. Now I've plugged-in it in for 28hrs and the siren is STILL GOING OFF. Could something at that hotel have ? ruined my battery for the APC? Or the APC itself?
Any opinion on what is going on ?
P.S. lesson learned to ALWAYS bring in my surge protectors also. I could have lost all of my electronics!

Ditto. Could be your apc may have caused the building wiring problem. I'd collect shiite & move out before you find out you're liable. :eek:

Hello to everybody!!
But to your reply, No. First that would be just ridiculous. Their microwave's pull way more than my lousy APC SURGE PROTECTOR! This has a small 12 volt battery & is just for battery back-up. I assume its like a trickle charge? It doesn't draw electric on THAT level! Well, IF THIS DRAWS MORE THAN THEIR WHOLE ENTIRE HOTEL CAN HANDEL... THEY'RE IN SADDER SHAPE THAN I ALREADY THOUGHT THEY WERE! Plus, when I went down to swap remotes when I first walked in (I put my feet up for an hour before I even thought about lugging all of my things up the stairs).. there was a couple who was switching rooms because their lights were flickering. She told them they could wait for the electrician or switch rooms.
When I left the next day, I wrote a polite letter (not knowing the APC would never work again) suggesting taping baby plug protectors over the non-working plugs. That was b4 I knew they whole building was down that night. When I handed it to her she apologized and said the rooms are on blocks of 4 (electrically) & the electric is old but the city won't approve their electrical upgrade because its considered a bird habitat in the back. (I find that to also sound ridiculous) like an excuse the visiting snowbirds wouldn't know if its truth or lie. Either you're zoned or you're NOT. lol
I'm looking for an answer to what could be wrong? There's no reason to order a battery if this thing got blown! I don't want to pay to have it looked at if I can find an answer online.
Any help or suggestions would be helpful! & greatly appreciated!
