Apple TV 3,4 and NAD T748 start up issue

Hi I have been asking this question more then once but can‘t find a solution. When I turn on my Apple TV 3 and 4 hooked up with HDMI cable to source 2 on my receiver NAD T748’s playing through an HDMI cable to the TV I am getting no sound until I select a different source, an example I have to select source 1 then go back to source 2 again to have sound start up through my speakers. I have tried delays on my Harmony 665, went back to using 3 remotes changed settings in the receiver, tv and Apple TV’s. I have changed to different HDMI cable different source/HDMI slot locations nothing has worked. Please help!

Sounds like a handshake issue (statement of the obvious, perhaps).

Have you tried turning on the Apple TV first, then the receiver?

(or, vice versa, whatever the case may be)

Any other sources..? Any of them have hdmi control, cec, simplelink.. turn it all off..

The tv is probably telling the rcvr it has audio, and the rcvr is going into arc mode.. ( most common cause i've dealt with)

Some blurays(lg models) dont give you the option to turn it off.. could also tell the rcvr to ( listen to me)..
