i ran those for 21 years. I liked them enough to have them refoamed for almost $300.
In retreospect, they are rather dark sounding. not sure if you (or anyone else) would like them.
that price is reasonable, not a deal, but fair (assuming they were refoamed properly) considering you're going to have to deal with that woofer.
one sub-optimal feature are the cheap ubiquitous spring-hole speaker connectors which are located on the underside so you have to lay them down to connect the wires.
i put a set of 5-ways on mine.
