AR Connoisseur 50 ID need some help!

I'm looking at some speakers for sale locally. The owner doesn't know much about them, but is calling the AR 50's. What Im hoping is that they are AR Connoisseur 50's! Posting a couple pic's in hopes that an AR enthusiast can confirm. Personally don't know that much about vintage AR, but have heard the Connoisseur line and really like them. Thanks in advance!

Looks like AR-58 or similar.
They do, but seller insists they're marked AR-50...I guess I'll have to try and see them in person. They're not exactly next door, so didn't want to drive an hour to find out they're something I don't want. The seller isn't home to send more pics, and I get the impression they weren't the sellers speakers. They didn't know anything at all about them.

Those are not Connoisseur 50. That range has a rounded-over front edge to the cabinet. The ones in your photo are clearly squared off. The Conn-50 also would not have room for a badge at the bottom. Those are AR48 or AR58.

Thanks Bako! Much appreciated! I couldn't remember what the ones I heard looked like. + they were on the stands.

Makes me wonder where they're getting the AR 50 from? They claimed it was on the tag, otherwise I'd assume they guessed wrong. Oh well, maybe Ill take a look and solve the mystery..just haven't had time.

Those look more like my AR58S speakers, since it has the AR logo mounted just below the grill. The Connoisseur 50 (C & T) had the AR badge mounted directly to the grill. The Connoisseur 50 had a 6.5" poly cone midrange, instead of the 1.5" dome mid, in the 58S speakers. The AR58B (and later versions) went to a 4.0" paper cone mid. All should be worthy, but I personally like the dome mid AR's. :)

Thanks!, after some more image searching, I believe you are correct. Haven't heard this model...price is right, the 2 hrs round trip just hasn't fit my day. They're still for sale, maybe tomorrow...now I just want to see em to answer the question ! Lol

AR dome mid 3-way speakers are special. Find a model with the 12" AR woofers too, and you'll be set. A very musical design, that are well worth the time and money to collect them.

Good luck.
