AR monitors at GW.........

Howdy,
Made an infrequent stop at my local GW, most stops nada, but today being
1/2 off friday, they had some AR monitors, decent, 14.99.....Have not owned
AR's in many years, perhaps an 'AR' person can tell something about these....
AR 18 BXI, sealed 2 ways, 8" woofer, 1" dome tweet, 17x10.75x7.75,....Cabs
are pretty cleans, woofers need foaming (of course) grill fabric probably needs
replaced....Decent weight, certainly restorable, anyone have these or know
about them?........Thanks, T

That seems to be a fair price for the 18's. They are a pretty good sounding speaker but out of that series the 28 is a giant step up. Been a while since I had a pair but they were not bad sounding, just too many choices and very stiff competition in the house.

Thanks for the info,.....Got them running, not bad,...not great either,
Probably make decent rear's for someones rear channel speakers......
Will keep an eye for the 28's.....Thanks, T
