AR Rega

Attached is a pic of my AR turntable with a Rega arm salvaged from a Planar table. I need some suggestions on which cartridge would be a good fit for the arm. My budget won't make past US $200. (If anyone is curious as to why the arm has no lift, I'll gladly answer but that's another story!) Thanks.

I've heard great things about the Ortofon 2M series. They are shaped to fit rega arms perfectly.

The arm was removed by a previous owner from an apparently damaged housing for the lift. However this left a 1/4" gap in the mounting base. I determined that the bearings were unaffected and that the arm functioned smoothly. I mounted it on a new arm board with the correct effective length, taped over the gap and fashioned a wood support for the arm. It seems to be OK and I want to get an appropriate cartridge for it.

I love the Denon DL-160 on my AR ES-1 with a Sumiko MMT arm and your rega is supposed to be nicer than it so I would think that would be a great fit for an MC cart!
