AR XA Bearing Well dimentions

Hi, I’m pretty new on AK…I just acquired an XA that I am restoring, and mine is missing these parts in the bearing wells, too. I thought the bearings simply sat on the bare metal with some oil to lubricate them, but apparently not.

I’m also looking for instructions/photos on removing the tone arm damping pin and setting up the pivot mechanism as best as it can be without an overhaul. Do you have any info on that? I’ve read about the work that Marc Morin does to these pivots, but it sounds involved and expensive. Thank you.

The two T-bars are close enough in weight and CG that springs shouldn't be an issue.

The motors will not be an issue for a T-bar change, but if the 2-motor is going to be updated to a single-motor an adapter will be needed for the different motor mounting centers, a new motor pulley will be needed because the 2-motor table used 600rpm motors, and a run cap will be needed because the 2-motor table didn't have one.

Good point, I do have inner platters with spindle and bearing.
