AR1 high res tower speakers

I have a pair of acoustic research AR1 high res tower speakers one of my side firing 15 is in need of repair or replacement at high volumes it “bottoms out” or cracks loudly at lower volumes it sounds fine. Any help would be great. Thanks

If it sounds like it's bottoming out at high volume then it probably is. Most likely you've simply pushed the speakers to their limit and they can't take any more. Just how loud are you playing them?
 
Well id say between half and 3/4 is when it’s noticable...below half u can’t tell and according to my manual they are high excursion acoustic suspended I believe
