AR2ax Woofer Refoam

Got a pair of AR2ax speakers and need the woofers refoamed. Any AR Gurus out there that can tell me the best place to ship them to get properly refoamed. Sold my beloved pair of AR2ax's a few years ago and missed them ever since so I am exited to get another pair and want the job done right. Any reliable tips would be appreciated.

Refoam on the AR is not difficult, the 2ax was my first attempt, no problems. wooferrepair.com has a kit with an instructional DVD. ARguy here on AK can probably set you up with the correct dust caps. I used the stock dust caps in the kit, I haven't had any problems - in fact, the pair I did with the wooferrepair kit and dustcaps have a big, full bass sound.

Lots of threads around here with tips and tricks, too. :thmbsp:

I just refoamed a pair of AR2AX's myself, went just fine. The process isn't nearly as intimidating as it sounds. And if you try out lots of vintage speakers, as I do, then doing your own refoaming can save a bundle.

I'll second Carl recomendation. He's done two for me and job was too notch. He takes the time to shim voice coil and tests them before sending out. Well worth the price!
