AR6's

I just picked up a pair of AR6's that need the woofers refoamed. They have a capacitor and resistor attached to them, guessing its a filter. I have a pair of AR93Q woofers in mint condition. Can I use the AR93Q's in the AR6's if I transfer the cap and resistor? Or is the makeup of the AR6's woofer that much of a difference? Should I just get the AR6's refoamed instead? Any help would be appreciated!!

which woofer for the 93Q? the woofer or lower midrange?

I'd refoam the original drivers. AR 8"ers are easy peasy to refoam, no shimming required. use the Boston Acoustics Filled Fillet surrounds.

Sending them off to Millersound in Lansdale Pa. This guy does beautiful work! He is known country wide for his expertise.

there's 2 different 8" woofer part numbers in the 93's
the 2 lower woofers were 200035, lower midrange are 200036

if it was the 200036 I'd maybe try it.

the AR94's use woofer 200001 and LMR 200027. 200001 is also the woofer used in the AR6,7,15,17,18,25

up to you if you want to send them out, but you can get the foams for about $15-20, some aileen's tacky glue for $2-3, and have them done in a couple of evenings.
