Aragon 24k Power Supply

Merry Christmas Everyone,

I’ve inherited an Aragon 24k preamp, but it’s missing the power supply. Anyone know where to track down either the Standard wall wort ps or the upgrade Aragon IPS? Maybe there’s some type of replacement available so I can at least plug it in to see if it works. TIA.

I used to have the same preamp and in same boat, got it without the PS. Here in this thread you can see how I built DIY version of the IPS supply.

Scored an Aragon 24k preamp at a garage sale sans power supply for dirt cheap. Turns out power supplies are harder to find than I thought. I am going to attempt to build my own. It doesn't look super complicated. I couldn't find a schematic, but plenty of pics and some hints around the internet...

You can also see where I used a simple linear power supply I got off eBay. It's a "Power-One" HAA24-0.6-AG (±24 regulated DC power supply). See post #24 for pics of it mounted in a file card box ($1.99 from a thrift).

There's a couple on eBay for roughly $20-25. If you wait you can get a NOS for a similar price.

After having built a DIY clone of the IPS I can't really say that the Power-One supply wasn't nearly as good. Read the thread through... @mondialfan had some really good insight.

Thanks much for the reply. I read through these posts but didn’t think I could take it on (no electronics background). However, retirement is on the horizon and I see some time to devote to this new hobby in my future!
