ARCAM AVR280 VOLUME PROBLEM

hello everyone, anyone can help me here? i have an arcam diva avr280 with volume problem.when it reach 66 on the volume, the sound suddenly goes loud, like a cd player when skips playing or when you put a scratched cd.i tried cleaning the potentiometer on the rotary encoder (volume) but did not help.any idea? thanks
