Are the white van guys using CL now?

It seems like either this guy got taken and he is trying to unload them or the white van guys are trying to save some gas money. It's a pretty cool marketing name though. The Envy Audio home page comes up invalid. The only Goggle hit was a thread where a guy was asking about them. You'd think there would be more info out there on a $1245 speaker. :scratch2:

There were 3 posts locly this morning.
So I posted the scam warning and with 15 min they were gone.
I at least had a good laugh..

Those don't even look like they have wood cabinets, let alone a veneer-covering. What are those? Plastic? And the drivers look like cheap knockoffs of the ones B&W uses (Are the cones merely PAINTED yellow?). Definitely looks white-van to me. The "400w max" thing is a dead giveaway anyway I would think.

Hey, this is off-topic, but what are those speakers with the coaxial drivers in your avatar?

My local CL is infested with white van garbage. Mainly these crappy Paramax HT sets.

Even if those were good, I wouldn't buy any gear named "Envy".

Same as above, tons of white van type speakers on CL in my area.

Its impressive the amount of work they go through for a counterfeit, the bi-ampable posts, copycat drivers/looks, etc

Just out of curiosity I googled Envy Elite NV-8810 speakers. Not the advanced search. Pulled up an Envy Elite Series II, but not the Envy Elite NV-8810. But it did pull up a white van scam in Texas for the Theater Research TR-8810 Pro Series III speakers. You know with a name like that they have to be good.

Ya, I was being a little sarcastic about the name in my OP. Some of the names they come up with for this stuff cracks me up.
