Are these Advents worth messing with?

those are 4002, which are NOT the same as the 25th anniversary edition.
The 25th anniversary edition was modeled after the 5012, which was nothing more than a "new advent" with an improved crossover response and a soft dome tweeter. The 5002, 5012, and the 25th anniversery are the best advent offerings.
The 4002 was modeled after the advent /1 which was supposed to replace the smaller advent, which IMHO it didn't quite live up to. They are still good speakers and at that price they would be worth refoaming. They are about 5-6 inches shorter than the above mentioned series but the drivers are the same.
