Are these Stromberg Calson?

So....in my adventures of audio hunting I ran across these speakers at the Ole Goodwill house of used audio gear. The little research I've done points toward Carlson speaker. Although there seem to be a ton of copycats of the design. From high school shop projects to pro speaker cabinet crafters there are no shortage of variations.
So who can determine if they are original or a copy or ????
Tell what cues to look for and so and and so forth. The cabinets are pristine. Real wood laminate that almost has an ostrich skin wood grain. No idea the lumber type. Each has only a single 3" driver. But HOLY CRAP these lil' dudes sound good. Don't think I've ever heard a single 3" anything sound so good and cover such a wide range. Anyone know anything. Or a how many Dollar store items I could trade them for. Not that I need much from the dollar store but who knows...

Interesting. I thought that design was to support bass frequencies like a bass horn or other designs and have not seen it used on smaller drivers. Will be interesting to see if there are any responses to your post with info on these. They look cool. And you say they sound good so... Score.

Yup, diy. Not that many builders put the entry in the bottoms so somebody at the diyA fullrange board might be able to tell you who made them.
