hmm,
the company i last worked for wanted me to relocate to arlington. those l300's look pretty crusty

i like how they lead off with the x-mas stuff...lol

Just called him... He is still posting pics and has alot more! But right now he dosnt know prices or model numbers. but ill be damn if that not a 1980.

And he said I have dibs. :D

Good luck, you gonna try shipping to Michigan? Anyway, the L300 cabinets are pretty stout and unless they've met with water, sometimes can clean up pretty well. The drivers look physically intact, wonder if he used them as some type of PA system with the Peavy's?

If they were closer, would be worth a look too. Can't go wrong with L300's.

ooooh! That poor SX-1980, it looks like more than one switch is messed up/missing, and I see a big scrape on tuner dial, and it seems to lean to one side, giving indication it's missing feet, and it could have some serious scrapes/battle scars/bruises hiding under it, or on top of it. I am local to it so if anyone not local who gets it, I can help you out with packing/shipping, as I know how the heavy beasts need to be handled.

PM inbound but not for SX.

Dibs, I made arrangment with the seller to call him around noon (his time) when he could give me prices... and to give me first crack at it... I did tell him I was from MI but I had family in TX, I lied.

My intention was to make sure someone local had place holder. Tuna?

Just called the seller/estate manager and he has someone picking the speakers up right now :tears:. Said they were in rough shape and sold at $600 which was right around where I would have paid.

Maybe another active AK'er (instead of a flipper) got 'em? Let's hope so, at least this thread may have helped them.

Thanks to the OP and BigTuna for their offers of help.
