[ASK] Technics SL1200MK2 AC volt Mods

Hello AKers,

Have you guys ever tried modifying a Technics SL 1200 MK2's 100 volt AC and convert it to 220 volt AC ?
I'm trying to mod this voltage transformer but i have no idea.
Maybe some info about what volt transformer brand to use ?
Any useful schematics ?

Please share your experience.

The seller recommends using a step down transformer.
I guess it's not built in.

The XA was 110/220 selectable via a switch under the platter. I don't believe they used tapped or multiply primaries, so you'd need to use a step-down, source the correct transformer, or use one of the aftermarket external power supplies.

Japan does! European market SL-1200 Mk II usually are multi-voltage. Also models sold in USA Military PX audio clubs were also.
