Astrocom/Marlux Speakers KL-4711 Please Help!

Found a set of Astrocom/Marlux speakers they seem to be in great shape and was wondering if anyone had any knowledge of these. I can't find anything about A/M except about their R2R's. They appear to be 1970's vintage.

Probably OEM speakers made by one of the big Japanese manufacturers like Pioneer or Sansui (both used fretwork grilles on several models). Also, maybe made by whoever made the similar Radio Shack Realistic branded fretwork grille equipped speakers. I'd take a look at the back of the drivers for a logo if you can take the back of the cabinet off.

Thanks that is exactly what I will do and post pics

Well this is what we have in this box...2 more companies I've never heard of, Sonics & Squawker. Another mystery.

I did hook them up to my HK730 and they sounded pretty good lacking a little base nothing a sub couldn't fix though.

Me thinks @tuberadios69 is correct about them being built by someone else and branded for "Astrocom/Marlux" which based on the info below was primarily a RtR manufacturer.

They probably didn't sell well thus probably a short lived run thus very little info on them

Just read these threads...Thank you. Seams like these must be pretty similar speakers.

What 62 said about the squawker.
The numbers on that driver might indicate who actually manufactured them. Could be Sonics (built the woofer) or some other company.
